Ride Maleny ("we", "us") is a small, locally owned business in Maleny, Queensland. We collect only the personal information we need to answer your enquiries and run your ride, and we handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

Enquiries and contact forms: your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, preferred dates, group size and your message.
Bookings: your name, email address, ride dates and the details of what you booked.
Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we receive only confirmation that payment was made.
Newsletter: your email address, only if you subscribe.

2. How we use it

To respond to your enquiry, manage your booking, send booking confirmations and ride information, and let you know about changes such as a weather reschedule. If you subscribe to the newsletter we will send occasional local tips and offers, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

3. Who helps us handle it

Payments are processed by Stripe, a secure global payment provider. We never see or store your card details. Beyond that, like most small businesses we rely on trusted service providers for website hosting, form submissions, booking records, confirmation emails and the interactive maps on this site. Some of these providers may store data outside Australia.

4. Cookies and analytics

We do not run advertising trackers on this site. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — such as which pages are viewed, how people found us, the type of device used, general location (city level) and whether an enquiry form was submitted. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally, and we never send Google your name, email address or anything you type into our forms. Google Analytics sets cookies to recognise repeat visits; you can read how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/privacy or opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The services that power the interactive maps may also set their own cookies.

5. Keeping it safe, and your rights

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for bookings, our records and our legal obligations. You are welcome to ask us at any time what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, through our contact form. If you have a privacy concern we have not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

6. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and its date. Questions are always welcome through our contact form.
